Kalai Mandram (BKM) was formed in the early eighties. BKM's primary
motive is to encourage interaction between the members. It also
provides a forum for the members' children to exhibit their talents
and teach tamil to the members' children and so on.
BKM
is very active with about 200 families forming its membership.
BKM is the premier Association for Tamil speaking Indians living
in Kuwait. BKM works under the auspicies of the Embassy of India,
Kuwait.
Among
its various cultural activities, BKM encourages some of its members
to teach Tamil to the members' children. Various activites take
place all year around to encourage the local talent.
The
Executive Committee comprises of committed individuals from various
professions as Engineers, Finance etc who spare their valuable
time to
enable interaction amongst the members, encourage the children
to exhibit their talents, arrange shows by various artists from
India...the list is endless.
